“Come here, Isabelle,” he now said in a low voice.

She approached him doubtfully, and when she stopped within reaching distance, he grabbed both ends of her pashmina, and pulled her to him.

“When I kissed you earlier, did you like it?”

“Yes,” she replied. “What about you?”

“Very much so, though it felt like I was kissing someone who had never been kissed before. Is that true?”
